10 Fitness Tips for Beginners


Where do I begin?

Everyone starts somewhere, it’s perfectly fine to not know where to begin. There are a lot of tips that you can get from anyone, the internet, friends, or even other bloggers. It may seem overwhelming but it’s good to step out of your comfort zone in order to get in the right direction. Below are a few tips for those interested in working out and need a little push to get started.

Stepping out of your comfort zone may be uncomfortable in the beginning, however it may lead you to enjoying the gym more often. By making gym buddies, they will motivate and push you to go above and beyond. Usually, people tend to underestimate their strength so having a gym buddy is quite beneficial. A healthy lifestyle is great to adapt, if stepping out of your comfort zone isn’t your thing then it’s okay to get help from the internet or youtubers that will guide and ease you into working comfortable in the gym. Taking baby steps help, you could workout at home with no equipment and then upgrade into going to the gym for better progress and when you’re open to that idea.


My Own Experience

As a beginner myself, I was afraid of going to the gym because of all the equipment and people there. I feared that I would look foolish by not being able to use the equipment correctly. However, it’s said that everyone in that gym has started somewhere and were in your position once. There is no shame in beginning as long as you’re beginning, there is always room to improve. A gym is where progress and improvement occur, it’s a judgement free zone. How I began was following YouTube workouts at home with the weights that I had laying around. Chloe Ting was a popular Youtuber that was praised during the beginning era of Covid. She allowed me to feel comfortable within my own body and guided me throughout my journey of working out consistently. My confidence and passion for working out allowed me to use it as an outlet to relieve stress. It's a healthy way to release stress when reality is too much to handle.


Only your opinion matters in the real world, if you're improving and slowly showing progress then it's that's the one thing that should keep pushing you to improve! Your life and your goals affect no-one but yourself. Although it's important to have a healthy lifestyle, it's only good if you enjoy it yourself without letting other's judgement cloud your own thoughts and beliefs.
